Liz Palla
Executive Partner
AmPhil Executive Partner Liz Palla works with donors and nonprofit organizations around the country on projects including strategic planning, philanthropy advising, and giving program implementation. She also supports AmPhil’s talent and culture activities, helping to find and support AmPhil staff. Before joining AmPhil, Liz served as senior program officer at the William E. Simon Foundation, where she helped review and make recommendations on funding proposals, evaluate organizational effectiveness, and maintain foundation operations. Previously, she worked at a nonprofit dedicated to supporting independent college newspapers on campuses around the country. She graduated from Gonzaga University, where she studied foreign languages, literature, and philosophy. She and her husband live in California’s Bay Area and have five children. Maria D'Anselmi
Senior Consultant
Maria D’Anselmi is a Senior Consultant with AmPhil’s Donor Advisory, where she serves philanthropists and private foundations. Maria has experience in strategic giving planning, donor intent analysis, grantee due diligence and evaluation, and giving program management. Before joining AmPhil, Maria gained insight and experience with the policy sector and nonprofit operations through her work as a program officer at the Manhattan Institute’s Adam Smith Society.
Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Dallas and currently lives in Philadelphia. In her free time, Maria enjoys the performing arts, particularly theater and film, and spending time with her family.

Jack Fowler is Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, representing AmPhil with thought leaders, key clients, members of the philanthropic community, and leading foundations. As a Senior Fellow at the Center for Civil Society, he writes the weekly Civil Thoughts newsletter (sign up here), hosts bimonthly webinars, and assists in conference planning.
Cecilia Diem is a Director at AmPhil, where she advises current and future clients on how to build and lead their organizations, with particular emphases on strategic planning, governance, and major gift fundraising.
